大きな柱と高い天井に一目惚れし購入いたしました
鬱蒼とした森の中の家に
風と光をいれ整えていくうちにふと…
幼少期から想いを馳せてきた沢山の記憶の中の宝物がここにある事に気づいたんです
驚きの連続でした
まるで誰かにつれてこられたかのような…
抱えきれない程の宝のあるこの地で私のこだわりを形にした宿を創りたくなりました

After wandering through many seasons, I finally arrived at an answer…
It began with something simple—reading Google reviews for fun a few years back.
I wanted to bring my own sense of “craftsmanship” to life.
Around the time that feeling began to grow,
I came across a quiet, traditional Japanese-style house by the sea.
I fell in love at first sight with its sturdy wooden pillars and high ceilings,
and before long, I found myself purchasing it on impulse.
It wasn’t until I started living there that I realized something.
All the memories I carried—from childhood to this very moment,
all the fragments of longing and nostalgia—had somehow been waiting for me here.
It was a strange sensation.
Watching the sun sink into the sea, I suddenly thought:
“That’s it. I’ll create a guesthouse that reflects everything I love.”
And without hesitation, I knew that was what I wanted to do.
Casual, honest, and warm—
a place reminiscent of old-fashioned inns filled with cherished memories.
A place where people can simply eat, sleep, and play.
A kind of “dōjō” for the heart.
The idea made me laugh to myself.
But maybe a little eccentricity—a place that brings out spontaneous smiles—is exactly what a guesthouse should be.
My own style of comfort, my own healing retreat…
A dōjō… a place of practice…
That is how Minpaku Dōjō came to be.
